I received the biggest power bill of my life this month - $587.41.
I had always assumed that a bill that big would mean a huge household running the dryer constantly, with fan heaters on high.

But we managed to clock it up with two adults, one baby and one toddler, a bit of heating, a few spins of the dryer and our usual amount of computer and TV use. We've even switched to LED lightbulbs in most parts of the house, which are meant to cut the bill.
If you're in my position, and as unimpressed as I am, there are a few ways to cut your bill.
