One of the biggest untruths told to newly pregnant women (along with "it doesn't hurt a bit") is that ginger biscuits will alleviate the debilitating nausea associated with morning sickness. In my limited experience, all this does is make you feel sick whenever you eat a ginger biscuit, for years afterwards.
