Having adult child living at home has become commonplace in New Zealand - and in Australia, the UK and the US.
Online forums use the term "kidult" to refer to these family members, who can drink, vote and drive, and often have a fulltime job.
But the big debate is whether or not these young adults should be contributing to the family finances; and if so, how much?
