Restaurant review: Baretta, Christchurch

Step off the street into Baretta and you are immediately in one of the most atmospheric places to dine in Christchurch with its black ceiling, ornate gold cornice, dark wood and that amazing hypnotic peacock wallpaper.

Your eyes widen when you walk in. It's different, even a little intimidating. It's dark and moody and feels of another time. Baretta is the kind of place to have a few drinks and act bigger than you really are.
