Winners and losers in the fight for insurance justice

You win some, you lose some.

But at least people who take their complaints to the Insurance and Financial Services Ombudsman get a hearing, without having to head to court.

It released its annual report, showing it had fielded 52,000 calls in its 21 years of existence.

In the 12 months to the end of June, it responded to 3193 complaint inquiries, up by 254 compared to the previous year.
