According to Statistics New Zealand, one third of Kiwis have worked from home at some point during their careers. Technology makes this a lot easier, however, without the proper setup and processes in place it can be easy to get distracted by the kitchen or TV.
To overcome all the procrastination opportunities and to create a space you want to work in, there are three main areas for consideration: the office space, desk and yourself.
1. THE OFFICE SPACE:
Before you get started on creating a personal office space, think about exactly how you want to use it. Make a list of materials you need to have at hand and plan where they will go in the same way you plan a work triangle (sink, stove, fridge) in your kitchen.
