Restaurant review: retro perfection at Henry Pollen's

A little over a century ago Dr Henry Pollen set up as a general practitioner in what is still the cutest French Second Empire-style building in Wellington. Much later, its curvy Mansard roof, turret, frills and flounces proved eerily appropriate to the House of Ladies, yet since then they've more worthily enhanced two Gallic restaurants รข€“ Bouquet Garni and The General Practitioner.
