The van-buyer was furious after his trip home in the 2006 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter he'd just bought.
In an email, he told the motor dealer he was "not paying $10k for a pile of junk that should be scrapped!"
The vehicle had barely made it up the Kilmog Hill as he drove it home to Dunedin from Christchurch where he bought it.
His email wasn't merely empty bluster.
