An Auckland family has laid a complaint with police after a furniture shop allowed a coffee table they had bought to be picked up by a stranger.
Zahra Bassam Tabar said her mother, Marjan Bassam, had bought the $400 table from Early Settler in Botany, Auckland, planning to have it packed into a container of her things that was being sent to her home in Iran on Thursday.
But when she went to pick it up, she was told it had already been collected.
