KiwiSaver members are being told to forget "you get what you pay for" - higher-fund fees do not deliver better returns.
Research organisation Morningstar this month gave ASB its KiwiSaver prize in the Fund Manager of the Year awards.
Director of manager research ratings Chris Douglas said the bank's KiwiSaver scheme had some of the lowest fees in the market.
Sorted calculates that someone with $30,000 wanting a growth fund would pay $828 if they were with NZ Funds, $231 with ASB and $123 over a year with Simplicity.
