Living small wasn't just about convenience for Jessica and Vanessa Ortiz, it was a complete lifestyle change, motivated by a desire to live within their means and leave a smaller footprint.
The couple were drawn towards the idea of building their house on wheels after following the tiny home movement while living in America.
"Once we moved to New Zealand we weren't sure where we wanted to be permanently, so building a tiny house on a trailer allowed us to work and save up, while getting to know more of New Zealand," Jessica Ortiz said.
