Plant your courgettes now - but don't bother with green ones

Courgettes are one of the most prolific crops in the home garden. In fact, they are often the source of a summer glut. The secret to avoiding family complaints is not to sow too many. One plant per person is plenty and pick the fruit young, about finger-sized, and cook whole to reduce the volume produced.
