We typically think of the climate in India as being hot, dry and dusty, but the western state of Maharashtra has intense humidity and heavy rains for most of the year. Temperatures can climb to nearly 40 degrees during the summer. It's no surprise that architects there have to come up with design-conscious solutions to mitigate the extreme weather.
