6 of the best make-it-yourself botanical Christmas crafts

Botanicals are big news: here's six simple ways to take the trend into your Christmas decorating.  

BOTANICAL BUNTING

Run a string of seed lights down a length of hessian rope. Write on chalkboard labels (from Spotlight) and tie on. Glue jute string to pine cones and discs of timber painted with gold snowflakes and tie onto rope. Wind fresh ivy along with rope and attach berry sprigs (we used twine from Trade Aid, tradeaid.org.nz). For a longer-lasting option, use artificial foliage and silk blooms.
