Beginner's guide to starting a vege garden: beating pests

It's disappointing when your  crops are taste-tested by insects before you get a look-in or plants start to blacken before your eyes. To keep your garden healthy, prevention is far better than cure. Keeping a watchful eye out for the first signs of disease or insect activity allows you to take remedial action before the problem gets too bad.
