Financial cheating – it's an interesting concept.
For some it's shopping bags snuck in and tags quickly removed or shoes scuffed to prove they're older than they really are. For others, it's online betting accounts, money earned on the side or a separate credit card their partner doesn't know about. For still others, it's payments to an ex-partner that you don't want your present partner to know about.
Whether you call it financial cheating or not, many of us are doing it. Some of us cheat with the big things that could potentially be relationship-ending if our partner found out. Some of us cheat with the little things because we want to avoid an argument. Some of us cheat because we can.
Does it really matter? Is it ever OK to financially cheat? After all, at the end of the day, isn't the only one we're really cheating ourselves?
